In this four-day camp, your child will be read a storybook about being kind, peaceful, or mindful. The story will be different each day. After the story, the teacher will demonstrate yoga postures that go along with the book and invite your child to participate by following along with the poses and their peers. Then he/she will be led through a short seated or laying (their preference) guided meditation. Afterward, children will have time to discuss the class, ask questions and interact with peers. Finally, the class will be dismissed. There is no previous yoga experience required. During our 4 days of camp, we will be reading: “Good Morning Yoga”, “Good Night Yoga”, “Hello Moon”, and “Dino Yoga”.

Parental Guidance
You understand that yoga includes physical movement and, as is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. By participating, you acknowledge that your child is fit to do so. If they experience any pain or discomfort, they agree to listen to their body, and discontinue the activity. You assume full responsibility for any and all damages, which may occur through participation. Yoga is not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment.
Please be sure your child has non-skid socks or no socks to keep from slipping.
Also, a cleared area for movement is necessary. A water bottle may come in handy if your child tends to get thirsty during a 30 minute class.
