My classroom is a place where serious learning and fun collide! In this small group class for young learners, students will benefit from hearing a story read aloud during class time. Students will study and practice vocabulary. They will be exposed to, and discuss, literary and illustrative devices, they will respond to the story and relate it to their own personal experiences. They will employ critical thinking and active listening, create art, and extend to other subjects including science and geography. Learning will happen through listening, reading, collaboration, games, critical thinking, puzzles, and discussion.

A custom PDF activity packet will be provided at the beginning of class (once the child is in the classroom) that should be printed out. Students will need child-safe scissors (supervision and help as deemed necessary by the parent), a pencil, and a glue stick.
