What's included

30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Storytelling is a part of our human history and is something that we must help preserve for the future generations. In this class the children will learn how to structure a simple story using 'who?' 'what?' 'where?' prompts and then make up their own story using the characters and words in the prompts. They will get a chance to tell their story in front of a group which will help to build up their confidence at articulating their thoughts into wonderful words. At the end of the class, children can be different characters from 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and there will be some exciting props for the children to see! The lesson is very interactive and fun and will help children use language creatively. ** PLEASE NOTE only children in the specified age range (4-6) will be accepted on this course**

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello everyone! My name is Haseena and I have over 17 years of experience working in schools and nurseries in the UK, as both a nursery teacher and a headteacher. I have an MA in Sociology of Childhood and Children’s Rights from the UCL Institute of Education and a BA (Hons) in Early Years (where I also covered a Child Psychology module) as well as other early years qualifications from the UK and a homeopathy course. I am also a Montessori Directress and hold an AMI Montessori 3-6 Diploma and recently I have been working as a Montessori teacher at a Montessori school in London. I have worked with children aged from 2 to 11 years old. I have also been working online, teaching English as a foreign language for nearly two years which I enjoy immensely.
I will have classes that cover all the areas of early years learning and development. I will also offer classes on storytelling and circle time. As a Montessori teacher I will be providing Montessori classes from ‘Walking on the Line’ to learning about grace and courtesy.
I have family in Kerala, in South India and I have also lived in Singapore. I am married with two lovely daughters that I homeschooled for a short period of time when they were younger and I loved being creative with their learning and following their interests. My eldest daughter is a doctor and my youngest daughter is doing her Masters in public health – how time flies!
I am passionate about books and I am fortunate enough to be a published author (in fiction as well as in an academic journal). In my free time I like to cook, take long walks with my family, paint, and spend time outdoors. I believe that all children have the potential to be who they want to be and that the early years are the most important years for children in all areas of their development.
