Welcome to story time and sign language for beginners! We will be reading the story Little Blue Truck written by Alice Schertle. 

I will begin class by teaching the children how to introduce themselves in sign language and they will each learn how to spell their names individually in ASL. Next we will begin our exciting and interactive story time! After reading the story the children will learn the signs for: blue, truck, cow, horse, sheep, duck, chicken, pig, goat, toad, stuck, and help. After learning the signs we will read the story a second time, but this time with a twist! The children will help read the story with their newly learned signs in a very exciting and interactive way!

The class will be lively and fun, keeping children engaged and learning throughout the entire lesson!! This course is an excellent way to meet new friends from around the world, learn some basic sign language, and enjoy a silly story that ends with bonding friendships and a great life lesson! 

No previous knowledge of sign language is required.

I have been fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) for 10 years and have studied the language for 16 years. I love children, ASL, and reading! I am excited to expand my knowledge to your children through this exciting one-time class!
