During Story Time, students will hear an age-appropriate story and talk about the characters. If time permits students may get the chance to act out some of their favorite characters. In this class, the students will practice their listening and speaking skills to answer easy comprehension questions. My hope for this class is to cultivate a love of reading and story telling as well as hone their listening and speaking skills. The book we will be reading in this one time class is: Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello Learners and Families!! I am so excited to be teaching on Outschool. I am a mom of seven grown children and now a grandmother to nine. I have an obsession with both Disney and Lego and enjoy sharing this love with my grandkids and anyone else who is willing to listen.
I homeschooled my children for many years and love teaching. I have both a bachelors and masters degree in psychology and am proficient at speaking and writing on a scholarly, college level. Helping children speak confidently in front of others is a passion of mine, and I hope through my "club" classes, your child will become a master of confident speaking. I also tutor high school students in reading comprehension and writing.
I believe learning should be fun, so in my class we will have a great time while we learn new skills.
