What's included

Class Experience

I am so excited about this class! Together we will work to combine nursery rhymes you know and love with STEM challenges. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Each week I will upload a video of me saying a nursery rhyme, a video explaining the accompanying STEM challenge and videos walking students through each worksheet. I will include a sheet of ideas to support students in starting to plan their creation. For each activity, there are optional printables that can be used such as a humpty dumpty face for week two.

I will also post the following four worksheets for each activity:
1.Planning worksheet to help students brainstorm what they would like to create (drawing only and drawing/writing versions available)
2.My Final Product worksheet for students to show off their final creation (drawing only and drawing/writing versions available)
3. One Thing That Worked Well... worksheet for students to think about what they did that worked well in their design (writing and drawing version, but could work for younger students if parents wrote a child's response)
4.One Thing I Would Change... worksheet to encourage students to think about how they could improve their design if they tried again (writing and drawing version, but could work for younger students if parents wrote a child's response)

Students can interact by posting their worksheets, an image of their creation, a video of their creation in action and communicated with other students.

Week One: Little Bo Peep
Week Two: Humpty Dumpty
Week Three: Jack and Jill
Week Four: Hey, Diddle, Diddle
