Class Experience

This is a multi-day, Pokémon themed, step by step drawing class.
Each week throughout our hour and 20 minute class time, I will guide and teach each student how to draw the Mega Evolutions of various Pokémon.

Everyone will start with basic shapes and lines and then slowly after we go through each step, our drawings will transform into a fully formed Mega Pokémon! After our drawings are completed, I will provide each student with a color guide. This way, if desired, they can complete their drawings with color. Colored pencils, markers, paints or crayons all will all work as a coloring tools. Sometimes students prefer to take their time at the end of class perfecting their drawings and then color after class. To accommodate students with this preference, I always post the color guides in the virtual classroom after I end the class meeting. They will always be there as a reference once class time has ended.

Compared to my single day Pokémon classes (1-4), this class will go into a much more advanced drawing style. We will use a lot of new skills that have not been done in the single day classes, including new types of guide shapes and guide lines. Because of the more advanced drawing technique, this class will be more challenging than the single day classes as well. If you are worried that the class may be too difficult, I recommend trying out my class, Step by Step Art Creations: Pokémon - Ultra Necrozma. It is a single day class that used the same advance drawing style as all eight weeks of this class.

The following is the list of the Pokémon we draw each week:
1 - Mega Audino and Mega Alakazam
2 - Mega Salamence and Mega Gengar
3 - Mega Lucario and Mega Slowbro
4 - Mega Medicham and Mega Mewtwo Y
5 - Mega Charizard-Pikachu and Mega Altaria
6 - Mega Diancie and Mega Latias
7 - Mega Charizard X and Mega Rayquaza
8 - Mega Sableye and Mega Manectric
Learning Goals
It’s my hope that after each class my students will gain more confidence in their drawing abilities as well as, self expression, creative thinking, and basic color theory. Along with that, each student will walk away knowing how to draw their favorite Pokémon.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have taken many online, and in-classroom drawing, painting, and art theory classes. I have seven younger siblings, and also a lot of past nanny experience caring for and teaching children on a long term basis. The kids I care for, my siblings included, have all enjoyed, and benefited from my knowledge of drawing, painting, and art. Having been around children my entire life, I have the patience and positive demeanor necessary to teach young students to draw step by step with a smile. It is a good way for kids to hone in on their artistic and creative potential, while defining their individual aesthetic.
