This course introduces basics coding and robotics, through an exciting journey and adventures in virtual worlds. Students learn how to apply creativity, problem-solving, computational skills to program a virtual robot in exciting virtual locations. The course provides an online simulation software, a visual code editor and embedded content. ** Daily Schedule: After the first 90 minutes of class, there will be a 15-minute break, followed by another 75 minutes of class. DAY 1 • Learn basic navigation through "Adventure Peak". Apply basic arithmetic ie addition, subtraction, division to program the robot basic movements. • Analyze and plan a route for the robot with pseudo-code to journey through "Frozen Island". DAY2 • Practice problem solving and learn coding concepts such as Delay/Wait For and Repeat Loop, to find the way out of "Lost City". • Use angles, parallel lines, and repeat loops to travel in the "Crystal Crater" world. DAY3 • Learn about radius, diameter, circumference, review pseudo-code, repeat loops to go through "Candy Land". • Learn to refine planning and pseudo-code writing . Practice driving forward and backward, angles, screw and smooth turns. DAY4 • In the "Sketch It! Missions, he robot is equipped with a set of trail drawers (painters) that allow it to leave a colored trail as it moves through the environment. • Apply creativity, problem-solving and computational skills while using all the topics learned to design their own picture drawn the robots. DAY5 • Refine planning and pseudo-code writing to plan the optimal route to complete missions. • Use Explore Mode feature to measure distance, angles and radii as the students navigate the "Milky Way". ** For a list of all the classes that we offer, please access this shortened url: shorturl.at/fkoDH
