Welcome to Intro to Physics camp! 🔭 Are you looking for an exciting, hands-on STEM experience for your curious middle schooler or teenager? This camp is designed just for them! Over the course of five days, students will dive into the fascinating world of physics through interactive lessons and engaging experiments. Each session is crafted to introduce fundamental concepts while sparking a love for science and discovery. ESA note: This class is structured to accept ESA funds for participating states and families. Topics we'll cover include: a) What is Physics? Why does it matter? b) Mechanics - Motion and Force c) Energy and Work d) Electricity and Magnetism e) Gravity, Einstein, and Relativity This camp is designed as an overview of the discipline, and to engage your child with activities to demonstrate how science is both interesting and fun. We approach class as a combination lecture, demonstration, and discussion, encouraging student participation however they feel comfortable. We believe in nurturing a love for science through practical, engaging experiences. Your child will not only learn fundamental physics concepts but also develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them. This camp is perfect for parents seeking an introductory STEM camp. Join us for a week of discovery, innovation, and fun. Let’s inspire the next generation of thinkers, creators, and problem-solvers together! 🚀👩🔬🧑🔬
Learning Goals
Students will gain a solid foundation in key physics principles, including motion, forces, energy, electricity, magnetism, and gravity. They will learn to describe and explain these concepts using appropriate terminology and examples.
