In this fun weekly class, students will learn coding principles by using Minecraft Education Edition. We will have various concepts and challenges where we will have to use coding blocks to solve them.

Students will enjoy completing each project as they are based on a game concept. My classes are very interactive and I encouraged my students to participate and pitch in ideas to solve our challenges.

Every week we will have a new project and I walk students through how to solve them, therefore there is no problem if your kiddo is new to Minecraft or programming.

These coding principles are similar to many programming languages.

********REQUIREMENTS********
It is required to have Minecraft Education Edition (Free of charge) installed prior to joining my class. Upon enrollment, I will provide you with information on how to access the software. Please note, that it is required to have either a PC, Mac, or iPad in order to download the coding platform. Any other tablets are not compatible.

Although no previous coding experience is required, it is recommended to first take my intro to Minecraft Education class before taking this class.
No Minecraft experience is required.

Learning Goals

This class explores coding principles based on Scratch which is a visual block programming language that makes coding fun and intuitive.
We cover basic coding concepts such as events, loops, conditionals, variables, and much more in order to promote creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

Hi there! My classes are focused on STEM-related courses (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). I want each session to be as interactive as possible with the goal of having students learn through games and activities. I teach classes I am passionate about and I want students to spark their imagination as they will be engineers and scientists of tomorrow.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. I also have a Master’s in Business Administration. For many years, I have been an active mentor in the education sector focused mainly on science and technology. I have taken part in Engineering Kids programs where I show the importance of learning engineering through fun experiments and activities. I have also taken part in different Lego League training sessions and competitions. Additionally, As a father of two, I enjoy teaching my kids about science and the world that surrounds us.

My philosophy is that everyone has the potential to learn with the right tools. Kids and teenagers learn mostly through visual examples and my classes are focused to be as visual as possible.

I hope to see your smiling faces in my next class. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me and I will be happy to accommodate.
