I have over 17 years of experience in jewelry creation, including designing and successfully selling my work through artisan festivals and e-commerce for over a decade. My jewelry creation experience includes stringing, wirework, chain work, and beadweaving, and I've created thousands of jewelry pieces and accessories over the years using an expansive variety of beads. My education background includes a Masters in Economics as well as a B.A. in Mathematics-Economics with a minor in Finance.

As an educator, I have been teaching students from elementary to high school through the world of jewelry making for over 7 years through homeschool classes, birthday parties, private instruction, and after-school enrichment courses across 8 elementary schools. I have also taught elementary school students in mathematics, including topics of finance, for five years in my community. And I have enjoyed every class teaching here on Outschool since December 2020.
Students will be assigned a simple homework assignment after each class related to the topic covered in class. No more than 30 minutes of time will be needed for any homework assignment.
Just paper, a writing tool, and a speaking voice. Students will be asked to write down ideas throughout classes and share their ideas with each other, and students are encouraged to take notes in each class for their own reference.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
No parental guidance is expected for class. Parental guidance is expected to assist students in developing their business, particularly online. Please be sure to read and follow all policies of any selling outlet that your student is interested in, such as Etsy, to ensure conformance.
