Class Experience

Star Wars spans a variety of films, TV shows, books, and comics. Each week throughout this class we will examine a different Star Wars film. We will focus on the three main trilogies, Rogue One, and Solo. We will do them in the order they happen, not the order they came out. The order they will be done in is: 1) Episode 1
                                                                      2) Episode 2
                                                                      3) Episode 3
                                                                      4) Solo: A Star Wars Story
                                                                      5) Rogue One
                                                                      6) Episodes 4
                                                                      7) Episode 5
                                                                      8) Episode 6
                                                                      9) Episode 7
                                                                      10) Episode 8
                                                                      11) Episode 9
Even if we have seen the films already, I expect we should watch each film prior to our discussion. You do not need to watch all nine films in the same week. I ask that you watch the one film per week, you should watch whichever film we will be talking about that week prior to attending class.

This will be a discussion-based class. In our discussions we should mention what we liked about each film, what we didn’t like, who are favorite characters are, how each character felt throughout the film, how characters have changed at the end of the films, etc.
Learning Goals
Students will be invited to join the class and discuss what they think about the movie. Topics will include story, visuals, favorite characters, etc.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I'm a photographer, hiker, biker, and IT guy. I've been a scout master and am teaching the photography merit badge to a local scout troop. My classes will be a mixture of photography, history, and Star Wars, with possibly some other stuff mixed in every now and then. My parents were teachers for more than 30 years and my girlfriend is a teacher, so I've spent my life immersed in what teachers do.
