Embark on a thrilling Star Wars journey with 'Star Wars RPG D&D: Galactic Gamble - Winter Camp Adventure Quest'! As the owners of the freighter 'Stalwart Sparrow,' your spacefarers are caught in the crossfire when a mysterious passenger, Selene, boards with seemingly innocent cargo. Stormtroopers descend upon the hangar bay, blasters ablaze, triggering a heart-pounding battle to defend the ship and unveil the secrets concealed within Selene's cargo. Unexpected opportunities arise, testing your crew's loyalties. Will they choose to aid the Rebellion in a daring mission or prioritize personal gain? As they navigate moral dilemmas, face TIE Fighter dogfights, and make critical choices, the destiny of the Rebellion hangs in the balance! Shape your character's fate as they decide to actively join the Rebellion's mission or maintain a neutral stance. May the Force guide you through this unforgettable Rebel Run adventure! This week-long, real time, face to face table top RPG winter break camp is more than just a gaming experience – it's an immersive journey where you'll hone critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. Join now for a captivating adventure that fuses storytelling, strategy, and skill-building! We will use a role playing game system called Index Card RPG, a system based on Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) for our adventure. Class one: We will briefly go over the Index Card RPG system and give each learner a chance to go over there characters, asking any questions they have. We will then begin the adventure with the crew loading Selene and her cargo just as storm troopers arrive and attack! Class two: After completing the battle, the heroes are involved in a harrowing space battle as TIE fighters swarm the Stalwart Sparrow. Will the heroes be able to escape before the Star Destroyer engages them? Class three: Selene tells the crew that she is a rebel operative with vital information for the Rebellion. The crew must decide if they want to take Selene to her rebel contacts or do they want to keep the information for themselves. Class four: Depending on their decision, the crew will either need to make their way through a dangerous landscape to rendezvous with the rebels or find someone who would be interested in the rebel info that they have. Class five: If the crew has found the rebels, they must get the info to them safely. If they have decided to sell the information, they must still deliver the info safely, and get paid! This game is appropriate for all skill levels, novice to advanced! If you've already played D&D then many of the Index Card RPG rules will be familiar. If you've never played D&D, then this is a great simple system to start with! Learners will be able to choose from a variety of pre-generated characters that will be made available before class begins. Please contact me if you have any questions about the class!

During my career as a puppeteer I've performed with the Muppets, the Jim Henson Company, and Sesame Street among others. I've been a puppeteer on feature films, tv shows, and videos throughout my 30+ year career. I have toured internationally with Walking with Dinosaurs-the Arena Spectacular for the past 11 years. As a home school dad I helped teach my son his entire school career.
I'm a huge fan of games, especially role-playing games! Playing a role playing game can improve skills like math, reading, comprehension, team work, and creative problem solving.
Students learn better when they are in an environment where they want to learn. Using puppetry and games, I've been able to educate students of all ages on a variety of topics. In fact, puppetry and games can be used to teach any subject under the sun!
