Come join us in a galaxy far, far away...In this one time class, learners will dive into the world of Star Wars, learning about and discussing the basics of the sequel episodes of Star Wars, episodes 7, 8 and 9. We will learn about the planets, characters, plots, theme, etc. of each episode and how and why these sequels sparked a new generation of love for Star Wars. Some of the questions that will be answered and some things they will learn about are: Why have the Star Wars sequels become so popular? Who lives in the galaxy? Who are the most important characters? Who are the good and bad guys? What are the light and dark sides? Who are the Jedi and the Sith? How does everyone get around? How is Rey connected to the force? And so much more! This class will serve as a helpful guide for students in fully understanding the Star Wars universe and saga. Students will also learn how to carry on social conversations and respectful discussions with their peers. I will teach using google slideshows and video clips to guide the weekly discussions. It may benefit learners to watch some Star Wars movie episodes, series episodes, or read books related to Star Wars before coming to class each week, but it is not necessary.
