Calling all Star Wars fans! In this seven-week course we will be watching one episode each week of The Book of Boba Fett and coming together to discuss it. Jabba ruled with fear, together we will rule with respect.

Star Wars is a franchise spanning a variety of films, television series, and books spanning across four decades and it shows no signs of slowing down. In November 2019, the streaming service Disney + was launched and with it Star Wars fans were given an expansion of the franchise with brand new and returning characters. Actor Temuera Morrison portrays the iconic fan favorite villain from The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett the galaxy’s greatest bounty hunter. Throughout this western style space story following the events of The Mandalorian Season 2 Boba Fett encounters new friends and adversaries alike as he establishes a criminal organization on the planet Tatooine. We will not discuss any of the Skywalker Saga movies in this class or spinoff movies such as Rouge One and Solo a Star Wars Story. We will only discuss the series The Book of Boba Fett Even if we have seen the entire series already, I expect we should watch each episode prior to our discussion. You do not need to watch all seven episodes in the same week. I ask that you watch the one episode per week prior to attending class. During our discussion I will ask each learner to share what they liked and didn’t like about the episode then I will walk everyone through the episode scene for scene, I use this same approach for all of my Outschool film studies classes. A sample schedule has been included below. The Book of Boba Fett does not show any blood. There are multiple scenes demonstrating gun violence and murders.
