Subject Taught: ELA - Reading comprehension (main idea, tone, author's purpose, plot, inferences, and much more) Topics Covered Based on Student's Needs: -Reading Comprehension: Explore various genres, including literary prose, poetry, and informational text and apply literary terms during analysis process. Tutoring Structure: After receiving a tutoring request, I initiate a dialogue via email with the parent to understand the student's academic needs. During the session, students will complete questions indicative of a grade-specific standardized test with interactive feedback throughout each session. At the end of the session, I send an email to the parent detailing the student's progress and provide additional (optional) resources for the student to practice between sessions. Teaching Style: My teaching philosophy centers on a student-focused approach, where I facilitate the learning process. Students complete various activities and participate in discussions throughout each session.
