Want to ace your SSAT's? Join me this summer for an intensive course that tackles the content and format of the SSAT! Previous experience with the SSAT welcome but not necessary. This course will focus on each of the 3 major scored sections of the Upper Level test: Reading, Verbal, and Quantitative, Together we'll practice each section with the most efficient and accurate SSAT learning tools. Students will improve their test score in each of the 3 major scored sections of the SSAT: Reading, Verbal and Quantitative. Students will learn the different parts of the test and test-taking strategies to boost their overall confidence going into test day. Students will be equipped with effective SSAT learning tools. Learners will also benefit overall in the areas of reading skills, critical thinking, vocabulary acquisition, and math.
I have professionally taught the Upper Level SSAT to dozens of students over the past year. My students regularly score in the 90 percentile or higher, and some show dramatic improvement in their test scores -- as much as 25%! I also teach and tutor other standardized tests, such as the SAT, as well as coach students through the application process to high school or college.
Homework Offered
I recommend 2 hours of homework per week for best results. Since this is an intensive course, students should supplement classroom sessions with assigned homework on Quizlet and Khan Academy. Homework every week will include a 1-2 pages of critical reading, vocab and root memorization, and math videos and problems.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
