1 hour per week. Students can go back to google slides that I will give you at end of class and draw from them during the week. Optional: drawings can be brought to the next class. Students will learn how to draw realistic images. We will draw realistic animals such as elephants and other subjects in this ongoing drawing art class. This is a realistic, abstract, and non-objective drawing class using pencil, charcoal, and pastels. This ongoing drawing class perfect for kids who homeschool or who need a supplemental course in art. I will be demonstrating how to draw different images. We will draw from the google slides shown in class. We will have a subject for the day. We will fit in as many different images(5-10 images) on google slides to draw as possible. We will complete one image at a time. Learners are welcome to show what they have drawn so they can get my feedback. Students can ask questions at any time during class in a fun interactive environment. Learning Goals
Students will learn how to create a line drawing (5-10 drawing per class) and how to use pastels, pencil, or charcoal.
Drawings do not have to resemble the teachers drawing nor do they have to be perfect.
We will focus on shading, proportion, and lines.
New drawing techniques will be provided each week.

Supply List: many sheets of paper, pencil. Optional: charcoal, colored pencils, pastels. Feel free to use art supplies that you have on hand.

I have an extensive art background in drawing, painting, and clay. I have homeschooled my three daughters from pre-K to 7th grades and I always included an art class and field trips to the High Museum in ATL, GA. I taught art in an actual elementary school in Massachusetts in the after school programs. I taught art in an actual middle school in Massachusetts in the special needs classroom in the mornings before school. I am certified to teach art in the state of MA. NCASI used to write lesson plans for MA state standards.
