For this class we will briefly go over supplies needed and then we jump into a quick sketch before we paint. Colors may be substituted (some students prefer red trucks!) throughout the painting. No experience is required. We will talk about placement of objects and how to create perspective. Various brush techniques will be practiced as we fill in our painting surface. Students are encouraged to ask for help at anytime during the class. Creativity is welcomed and encouraged to create a one of a kind piece of art.

Supply List
Students will need a pencil, eraser, paint brushes in a few sizes, water cup, paper towel and the acrylic paint colors in: light blue, dark green, light green, brown, teal or red for the truck, yellow, white, black and any colors desired for flowers.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I teach painting, drawing, mixed mediums and fiber arts classes.
I have been teaching homeschoolers since 2013 and paint nights for all ages since 2014. I’m a self taught artist and teacher and I enjoy seeing the creativity that comes from each and every student that I have had the pleasure to have in any class.
I encourage my students to do their best, look for what is good as they work and turn mistakes into masterpieces. Art is a wonderful way to express ourselves, grow and sometimes heal. Because of that, it’s my very favorite thing to experience with other people!
