Welcome! In this one time class, we will be making our own (super easy) spring themed rice krispie treats. The children will be asked to use sprinkles or add ins of their choice. I will be using pastel colored sprinkles but any add ins are welcome! We will be using a microwave for this recipe, no stove top/oven. I have been baking for years! I have always loved making treats for my loved ones and including children in the process makes it all so much more special.
Large microwave safe bowl Mixing spoon 9 inch square greased baking dish Parchment paper Optional: teaspoon of vanilla extract 1/2 cup salted butter 16 oz mini marshmallows 6 cups crispy rice cereal Any fun add ins of your choice!
*learner MAY need adult help with microwave portion (hot melted butter and marshmallows) and/or pouring the mixture into dish once melted (may be heavy for some).
