Splendiferous Spelling, Reading, Writing Tutoring (Private-Ongoing) (1 X Week)

I often tell children, “if you can read, you can do anything”. Truth be told, to even answer a math question requires reading. Often when a child cannot read well, they become overwhelmed and may act out or withdraw. 

In this ongoing, weekly class, I will work with your student one-on-one on all things spelling, reading, and writing. For each class, the student will be encouraged to bring current work with them to class so we can master current expectations. I will also consistently introduce them to new words to expand their vocabulary. Additionally, we will work on reading comprehension and writing skills incorporating language arts into each class. 
 
If your child has a book(s) they would like to read together I am happy to read along and engage in conversation with them helping to ignite a passion for reading as well as using the opportunity to expand on life skills/concepts based on the reading. We will use the classroom between classes to discuss the book. While we all learn from non-fiction books, we can learn so much from fiction about life and more!
