What's included
15 live meetings
15 in-class hoursClass Experience
This is an online writing class which uses Institute for Excellence in Writing as a curriculum base. This class is for the entire fall semester, meets live once per week (Wednesdays, 1:00-2:00 PST), has homework, and will introduce your struggling writer with the basics of a good paragraph or story. In addition, each class is recorded, so your student can access the material again if needed. Only one section of this class is offered. All writing compositions are personally graded. This one-semester online class has been a real hit with students! We’ll write about real-life spies, war-time espionage, and some little-known facts that changed the course of history. This class is appropriate for students in grades 6-12.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been teaching writing for over ten years now. I began with teaching my own children, and when I saw the quick and steady improvement in their writing using the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) curriculum, I expanded to teach other children as well.
I have 3 teenaged children, a husband of 24 years, and I LOVE baseball. :)
