In this hour and a half class, students will learn the basics of how to illustrate a picture based on using fan art from the popular Spiderman into the Spiderverse movies. Using the app Procreate, students will use their iPads to import a photo provided by me, Katie, from the movie, and then they will learn how to trace, draw, and add details including coloring and shading to their illustration. They will add their own spin to the background. Students should have a basic knowledge of Procreate, but it is not required to have extensive preexisting knowledge of the app. Required Supplies: iPad (fully charged or charging during the class just in case) Stylus - Apple Pencil or similar that has a fine tip Photo on their iPad provided by the instructor before the class starts
Learning Goals
Create fan art using inspiration from a photo from the Spiderman Into the Spiderverse movie.
Using Procreate, students will learn how to create shadows, highlights, and color matching.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
We will be using the free Procreate app that is available for any iPad user. This app does not require setting up an account nor does it require any personal information to acquire and is a basic drawing app for digital use.
