Learners, come get your spelling groove on. Show how well you can spell. Sharpen your spelling skills in a fun, game-like format week after week. Meet the challenge today.

In this ongoing "Spelling Jeopardy! A Spelling Game Challenge," 🐝learners have the opportunity to play different spelling games that challenge their spelling skills. Some weeks, the spelling words will be given to learners before class. Other weeks, learners will play other types of spelling games that will challenge their spelling skills. The goal of this class is to challenge learners' spelling skills in spelling categories just like in Jeopardy or a game show, but spell the word correctly before the other learners in the class and follow the spelling rules of a spelling game and practice their spelling skills in a friendly, fun competitive game-like classroom environment.

Fun, fast moving, challenging and friendly competition each week. This is not your average spelling class. Learn easily-confused homophones, parts of speech to words, definitions, sentence structure and usage, new vocabulary words, spelling crossword puzzles and other spelling games, all while building your spelling skills.

I am a retired public school Principal who has taught and written curriculum for grades K-12 in all subject areas. I have taught learners from grades K-12, Special needs learners, adults, ESL learners from several countries it seems for most of my life. Teaching children is what I love to do! And teaching learners of all ages to read, write and spell is foundational to success and is my passion. I personally love spelling and enjoyed spelling competitions since I was a little girl. Trust me, I practiced my spelling list / words and made sure I got an A+ on each test. So when faced with competition, I was ready!

I love to work with children in all subject area [reading, writing, science, cooking to name a few] but teaching them to read, write and spell are my favorite. Seeing the "lights" come on as a learner "gets it," understands the spelling rule and WHY words are spelled as they are is what I love most and love being a part of that experience is so very gratifying.

I am very happy to be teaching on the Outschool platform and look forward to my passion for reading, writing and spelling, in particular, rubbing off on your learner.
