Class Experience

Students will learn in a variety of ways including through a Powerpoint presentation, a short video, group discussion/practice and independent worksheets. We will start class with a brief introduction and then get right to learning the FLOSS spelling rule. I will explain the rule using visuals, discuss examples and practice the rule and if there is time, help them start independent practice!
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the FLOSS spelling rule. By the end of class, they will have a better idea of when to double F, L, S and Z at the end of one syllable words. They will be introduced to what a closed syllable is, what that means for the vowel sound and how the FLOSS rule plays into it!
