Spelling Bee Fun: Vocabulary Boost for 6th Graders

Each session includes:

Week 1 (1/16/2025): Short Vowels (i.e: enchanted, frivolous, confidential)

Week 2 (1/23): Long Vowels (i.e: exceedingly, queasy, genuine)

Week 3 (1/30): Silent Letters (i.e: league, asthma, rogue)

Week 4 (2/6): S and Z Sounds (i.e: sympathize, optimism, compromise)

Week 5 (2/13): K and KW Sounds (i.e: quirky, chaotic, klutz)

Week 6 (2/20): Prefixes (i.e: mis-, sub-, pre-, pro-, etc)

Week 7 (2/27): Suffixes (i.e: -ar, -er, -or, -est, -ist, etc) 

These ongoing spelling bee classes are designed to cover essential spelling patterns and sounds. Each week introduces a new theme, providing variety and progressive difficulty to keep students engaged.
