Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree from Le Tourneau University
I live on a farm in the Midwest with my special horses. I learned about horsemanship at a very young age. I showed in Western Pleasure classes in Texas when I was in elementary school. After college, I trained in show jumping and dressage in Texas. I currently own four horses. We have a Belgian, Thoroughbred, Morgan and a Quarter Horse.
In addition, I have served as an equine welfare advocate since 2011 for all horses. My first published children's books were about horses. I have also taught public library programs on the history of the horse along with using own horse books for year round public library reading programs.
Lastly, I have served as a guest educator teaching large animal classes about the evolution of the horse, breeds, husbandry and anatomy. I adore the horse. I will be delighted for the opportunity to share my equine knowledge and enthusiasm for this magnificent animal with my students.
