Students will be expected to write a speech each week and respond to classmates' speeches. The process of writing, practicing and recording their speeches will take time and focus and perhaps support from an adult in their lives. Speeches will be due on Thursdays and video feedback for their peers is due on Fridays.
A graphic organizer will be provided to help guide students in writing their speeches.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Mrs. A will provide feedback to all speeches.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Students may need support researching their chosen topic and practicing their speech, depending on your child's level of writing and experience. Some students may need help learning how to record themselves, do retakes, and leaving video comments.
