Students ages 6-10 will have a blast learning beginner vocabulary and sentence structure in Spanish! As an ongoing class, meeting one time per week, concepts will be taught through repetition, practice conversations, interactive slides, video clips, games, and hands on activities. Each student will be able to repeat vocabulary covered to ensure proper pronunciation and understanding.

Each class will introduce a new basic topic in Spanish and can be a stand alone class. Learners may come and go as their schedule allows, as long as there are available spaces upon enrollment. Classes will cycle every 10 weeks, so feel free to join at any time! This class is Part 2 of a 3 part series (classes in this series can be taken in any order). Printables and resources will be posted in the classroom at the beginning of each week. Optional homework and extra practice are available. No prior Spanish knowledge is necessary.

The engaging curriculum is tailored to fit the needs of the elementary beginner Spanish student. Vocabulary and sentence structure presented is both practical and useful for real world conversations. The small group class setting fosters a positive, encouraging, and collaborative learning environment. Our content promotes cultural awareness and appreciation.

✏️ Vocabulary and Grammar Instruction: 15-20 minute topical lesson, presented through interactive slides and fun visuals.
✏️ Game or Hands-on Activity: 15-20 minute game, worksheet, or activity to reinforce and apply newly learned concepts in a collaborative, positive environment.

This week we will focus on vocabulary and sentence structure related to community helpers (professions and careers, such as firefighter, teacher, doctor, farmer, builder, etc) in Spanish. Learners will team up to play the game, "Who Am I?" and wrap up class with a "When I Grow Up" drawing and writing activity!
