This 10-week semester course will meet 4x a week to improve language skills through speaking, reading and singing. The focus will be on comprehension and vocabulary expansion. This course will appeal to native speakers.

😀 🤩🥳 Come join me in this 10-week course as we discover how fun learning can be! This course will run for 30-minute periods each lesson, 4x per week. It is the perfect opportunity to share meaningful learning experiences with your learner, in order for them to continue speaking Spanish and working on their fluency and vocabulary expansion. 🎵🎤🧩🔤📚Children thrive on routine because it provides a sense of comfort and safety that allows them to be more open to learning. This class will bring your learner a safe learning environment and a routine that will include songs, interactive games, word of the week, number of the week, shape of the week and theme of the week! The class will be taught exclusively in Spanish through music, dance, books and videos. Students will be encouraged to participate in reading, dancing, singing, and writing; instilling confidence in them as they practise their Spanish speaking skills. My lessons are designed to use visual aids, video activities and songs to communicate effectively in Spanish and introduce new vocabulary so that students will naturally expand their comprehension and speaking skills. The following class schedule gives you an overview of the topics covered in class. This schedule is subject to change if deemed necessary. In order to help my students learn, I will move slowly through the curriculum if the topic for that week is of particular interest to my students. This may slightly change the class schedule. Week 1: Back to School 📙 and All about me. ☺️ Week 2: I spy with my little eye 👀 (Themes: colours, animals and letters). Week 3: Little purple monster 😈 experiences Fall. 🍁 Week 4: Cinco calabazas 🎃 (Themes: numbers, emotions). Week 5: Culture Capsule: Día de los muertos (Day of the dead). ☠️ Week 6: The hungry squirrel 🐿 (Themes: food, likes and dislikes). Week 7: Teo is hungry! 🧐🧐 To help parents make an informed decision about this class, I would like parents to keep the following requirements in mind:
👟🎵 In this class we will occasionally dance, stretch and move. Due to this, please make sure your learner has plenty of space, comfortable footwear and a water bottle if needed.
✄📄 We will also be completing some cut and paste activities where the use of scissors is required. Please ensure your learner is supervised when using scissors or have the pictures/words cut out for them prior to class.
