Assessment
At the end of each month, students will have a spelling test as well as an online kahoot quiz. Students are encouraged and expected to practice the vocabulary for that particular month; the words will be taught at the beginning of each month. In other instances, students may have a reading sample or conversational assessment to measure their individual progress, too.

Class Experience

Are you unsure of where to begin in learning Spanish, or are you intimidated by the hoops and hurdles of most Spanish classes? Made with ease in mind, this bilingual-friendly course is for learning Spanish without the daunting task of going through endless stages and levels. Learn in a way that allows you to take your time, ask questions, and have fun!

Each month, master a new topic in Spanish. Learn in a calm yet measured pace to ensure a richer understanding of the language. Learn from a variety of topics including: colors, numbers, sports, and more! By extension, develop your comprehension in reading, writing, speaking and listening – the four foundational skills of language learning. While it is encouraged to have some minimal Spanish understanding, students with little to no past experience may also enroll. Be advised that the content will build within the same month, but it will start anew with each new month.

Below is an EXAMPLE breakdown of what to roughly expect week to week:

📌 Please note because some months will begin or end halfway into a week. The teacher will inform when the next topic will begin, allowing repeating students to prepare for the end of the month spelling test and look forward to the following month.

📌 📌 Students may request a new topic for the following month. The goal is to learn thoughtfully how to speak Spanish and not to memorize endless lists, week after week.

This class is ongoing, meaning students are able to enroll and withdraw from class anytime. A small sample of words and phrases may repeat from month to month, but the goal is for students to have a month to master a manageable list of words in different settings and uses. Please note, that this is NOT a fully immersive Spanish course! Students are allowed to use English. Besides a pencil, an eraser, and paper, no other school supplies are necessary. A printable workbook will be available each month. Come join us and learn Spanish!
Learning Goals
Develop your Spanish comprehension in the four main pillars of language learning – reading, writing, speaking and listening. Week to week learn how to use a selection of words in varying situations like telling time, ordering food, describing daily chores & more. Regularly, learn about the different parts of speech like adjectives, verbs, nouns and how to construct sentences correctly, too.
