Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
Advanced Level
Greetings. Usually, Outschool serve the purpose of complementing and reinforcing the skills learned in school or homeschool. Many parents have become teachers for necessity or by voluntary choice and, for the Department of Education in most states, that is acceptable. However, to receive credit for this or any class, students need to take a state test. The passing grade of 70% - 80% is what validates the months of study, not a letter or, in some cases, the grades. However, with pleasure, I can write a letter of completion. No problem. I can do that. I can give a grade based on quizzes, tests, and activities. I can do that. I looked into some states' Spanish standards and crafted a class that covers all the skills needed. Please let me know what else you might need to be read for the state end-of-the-year assessment. I am delighted to fill out your academic needs.

We will use authentic materials such as a short story, a game, and a song for exposing and practicing language use in just 25 minutes. There is no need to download an application or become a member. Are you ready! You will be exposed to ten words taken from the short story to be read in one minute. Yes, you heard well. Ten words in one minute! The brain has the ability to capture the symbols as a camera. This is the beginning, however. Then, we will put the words into phrases, sentences, until we can read the whole short, short story. Stupendous! Later on, I will open more sessions to reinforce and introduce more vocabulary. Be on the watch! This FUN Spanish immersion is a sample class designed for advanced grades high school students who are ready to finish their Spanish trajectory, have taken Spanish levels 1, 2, and 3, and doing distance learning, or want a place to practice. When reading the short article, we will read in Spanish in this class and students will be encouraged to participate. It is so important in language learning to have opportunities to speak the language and continue to develop conversation skills. I will describe in English if needed, what is going to happen in the Spanish class. We will have FUN polishing our language skills! Students are encouraged to practice.

Agenda:

a) Opening: an activity such as a song, tongue-twister, role-playing, or dictate.
b) Presentation: teacher presents the vocabulary in PowerPoint, and learners take notes and do individual and choral repetitions.
c) Practice and performance: the teacher gives an example sentence using the lesson's language structure and prompts the students to practice the answer and the question form of the target language.
e) Closing activity by playing customizing vocabulary games with interactive materials such as quizzes, matchups, and word games.
Students will have the experience to learn the unit vocabulary.
For the students who take the full course, I will be offering optional overall assignments to keep track of their progress.
