Beginner Level
In this small class of 5-10 students, each learner gets personalized attention, ensuring everyone can fully participate and engage. With 45 minutes of class time each week, students have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, join fun games, and complete creative projects without overwhelm, all designed to reinforce their new knowledge. • Week of October 28 Topic 1 : Introduction to Idioms Get to know what idioms are and why they’re used. Students will learn some simple, everyday Spanish idioms and practice using them. •Week of November 4 Topic 2: Body Parts Idioms Discover idioms like “echar una mano” (to lend a hand). Students will create posters illustrating idioms and use them in fun conversational activities. •Week of November 11 Topic 3: Animal Idioms Explore fun animal-related idioms like “ser un pez gordo” (to be a big shot). Through interactive activities, students will bring these idioms to life. •Week of November 18 Topic 4: Weather Idioms Learn idioms about the weather such as “estar en las nubes” (to be daydreaming). Students will create weather-themed stories using idioms. •Week of November 25 Topic 5 : Food Idioms Uncover delicious food-related idioms. Optional: prepare a simple snack while learning! • Week of December 2 Topic 6: Feelings and Emotions Idioms Discover idioms that express emotions. Students will create a feelings chart and practice using idioms to describe different emotions. • Week of December 9 Topic 7: Fun with Idioms Engage in a trivia quiz, bingo, and group discussions to review and reinforce all the idioms learned so far. (Flexible to adapt to student interest) • Week of December 16 Topic 8: Creative Presentation and Review. We’ll wrap up with a review of everything covered and tips on how to keep using idioms in daily life. ________________________________________
