In this 4-week online course, students will learn how to conjugate verbs in Spanish in the present tense and work with the present progressive as well. They will understand the conjugation rules for both regular and irregular verbs.

Intermediate - Advanced Level
In this 4-week Spanish class, students will learn how to conjugate regular and irregular verbs in Spanish, as well as the present progressive tense (gerundio). In order to gain these skills, students will receive videos that teaches the rules for each tense with examples, along with activities and assignments in different formats. Learners will complete fill in the blanks tasks, make sentences and practice writing based on reading comprehension. Moreover, they will also have the option to engage in activities on Nearpod and Quizzlet, for additional practice. Constant personalized feedback and help will be given throughout the course.
Learning Goals
By the end of this Spanish class, students will be able to confidently conjugate regular and irregular verbs in the present and present progressive tenses, demonstrating understanding of verb endings and patterns. They will apply their acquired skills by constructing sentences, using varied subject pronouns and verb forms.

The Simple Present Tense - Regular verbs
In this lesson, students will learn the rules of regular verb conjugation in indefinite, which refers to the simple present tense. They will understand different verb-ending patterns and apply them by completing several practice exercises 11 mins of video lessons
Lesson 2:
The Simple Present Tense - Irregular Verbs Part I
The second lesson, focuses on learning the main irregular verbs in the present tense. These verbs are "ser" and "estar" (to be); students will understand what is the difference between them and how to use these two verbs.
The verbs "tener" (to have) and "ir" will also be part of this lesson. Lesson 3:
The Simple Present Tense - Irregular Verbs Part II
This lesson will focus on stem-changing and spell-changing verbs. Students will learn how to apply these rules in different groups of irregular verbs. 10 mins of video lessons
Lesson 4:
The Present Progressive Tense (Gerundio)
During the last lesson, students will learn how to use the present progressive tense, called "gerundio" and understand when this tense is used. 6 mins of video lessons

Parental Guidance
In this class, students will have the option to engage in exercises for additional practice, using the websites Nearpod and Quizlet, which are approved third-party resources. They don't need to have an account or enter any personal information; a code will be sent for them to access the activities.
