This is a self made curriculum that will focus on the following. A workbook will be provided!* This class will be taught mainly in Spanish. This is the first of two classes of it's type. This is to be coupled with Spanish 3 Semester 2- Grammar/Conversation. We will be using a discussion style class as well as the websites listed. Your learner should be able to know at least Intermediate level Spanish to succeed in this course. Learners will be given a Spanish review packet that will need to be turn in as part of grading. This packet will review what was taught in a Spanish 1 and 2 level classes. This will help the learner to be prepared for this level of Spanish and can serve as a reference guide. There is an optional 5-week Spanish Speech Writing 2 class for those who would like classes in between the Fall and Spring Semesters. (If more hours of coursework is desired/needed) **All students are required to complete a two course projects .The first project will be due at the course's mid-point. The final project will be due at the end of the course. This course in conjunction with Semester 2 can count for a FULL year of Spanish 3 if looking for High School Credit. PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR ACEDEMIC LEADER TO MAKE SURE THIS CLASS CAN COUNT AS CREDIT FOR YOUR LEARNER! Please advise me in a timely manner if transcript information, like grades, will need to be released to you at the end of the course.

I have a BA degree in Spanish from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I have a certification in Spanish translation and interpretation from Loyola University in New Orleans. I have lived in Mexico while attending an exchange program while in college. I taught Spanish to Preschool, Elementary, Middle and Highschool students for almost 20 years. For public speaking I was an active member of Toastmaster's International for 5 years.
