Beginner Level
Are you ready to learn how to have a basic conversation in Spanish? This is the perfect fit for you if you're just getting started with Spanish and want to discuss your favorite activities with your friends. Class Structure The teacher encourages students to take notes before we start each lesson. The teacher will say each vocabulary word and there will be an image of the word on the screen in the video. Students will say each word along with the teacher. After saying each word, they can practice on Nearpod (see parental guidance below). Teacher Style This teacher is methodical in her approach. Every lesson will include class notes, pronunciation practice and activities on Nearpod. This is an independent study and you will not hear from the teacher unless you ask questions in the class page or send her a direct message. Materials Included in The Course There will be four video lessons where students learn the pronunciation of each vocabulary word. For a more interactive environment, we will provide self-paced Nearpod links once you've registered for the class. Nearpod is an Outschool approved resource. You'll receive 9 PDFs (student versions and answer keys) for grammar homework, a review packet and exam. You will have access to the answer key for all 3 of those PDFs. There is a bonus PDF with a Spanish phonics lesson if you need help with your pronunciation. There is also a PDF for the vocabulary list that includes a key.
