Would you like your learner to study biographies about influential men and women and the lives they lived? In this learner-directed SELF-PACED class, learners will use fun and interactive activities to explore the biography of their choice.

Learners are invited to join the fun as we explore the lives of influential men and women. They will choose which person’s life they would like to explore. Using a multimedia interactive learning guide, learners will explore their person’s life, contributions, achievements, and quotes they are famous for saying using photos, videos, and text. Once registered for the class, learners will tell me which person they’ve chosen to explore. I will send them a link to the appropriate LINKtivity®...

This class is a self-directed class that allows the learner to oversee their learning. *introduce learners to a new world of historical figures and different eras. *present facts about a person's life including what they did and how they made a difference in the world. *inspire learners as they read about people who overcame problems, faced obstacles, and criticism, but persevered to succeed. *create a project to give a summary of what they learned.
I am a certified teacher who loves to make learning fun for students. We will learn by doing and having fun!

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
*External Resources Used: YouTube (videos are embedded in the LINKtivity®) *The list will be updated as more biographies become available, so please check back. *This is a one-week, learner-directed SELF-PACED class. Learners can only choose one biography to explore in each class. If they would like to explore more than one, they are welcome to register for the class again. I encourage them to explore them all! *LINKtivity® Interactive Learning Guide is a fun and interactive multimedia learning guide that will keep learners engaged and motivated with kid-friendly videos, audio clips, graphics, photographs, and more that put them in control of their learning process. Each LINKtivity® has audio support to read the text to students so they can focus on learning. There are also interactive activities built in so students can monitor their own understanding. No account is required to access the LINKtivity®. The LINKtivity® DOES NOT ask for any information from the student. *Note: This is a SELF-PACED class. There will be NO live meetings. We will do everything using videos, pictures, and posts in the classroom. *REFUND POLICY: Once the material has been sent to the learner, there will be NO refunds issued. If your learner changes their mind and wants to choose a different biography, they are welcome to register for the class again. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
