This one-time class is an introduction to my 8-session "Sound It Out" reading course. In this class, you will have the opportunity to evaluate whether my class is a good fit for your child's personality and ability level.

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
This is a one-time sampler course. If you're wondering if my "Sound It Out" course might be the right fit for your learner, please check out this sampler! In this course, we will practice hearing and isolating the beginning, middle, and end sounds in CVC words like hot, cat, and dig. We will review basic letter sounds and then practice stretching those sounds out to hear the letters, as well as smoothing letter sounds together to make words. I am a certified elementary teacher with years of experience in preschool and second grade. I have also taught ESL for 3 years on-line, and hold an MA in Teaching from Dominican University.
A two-page handout will be sent within 24 hours of class start. Please be prepared to print and cut the components for your child.
