In this one time course, beginning readers will learn to understand how the "Magic E" rule changes a vowel sound from short to long.
Class experience
US Grade Kindergarten - 1
This class will focus on teaching beginning readers how to confidently apply the Magic E rule. Students will learn how to identify and read words where the first vowel is long and the final e is silent. Students will complete fun activities as a group on how to apply the rule to words while reading.
The goal would be for students to finish the class with a better understanding on how and when to apply the Magic E rule while reading.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
