Social Skills-Lesson and Activities (Private Session)
New on Outschool
In this 6 week course, we will meet once weekly to explore different social skills, complete activities and end class with "field work" to practice throughout the week. We will meet back the following week to recap, and learn a new focus.

Week 1: What are social skills? How to talk to anyone-conversation starters, body language
Week 2: Listening Skills
Week 3: Making Friends
Week 4: More on Making Friends
Week 5: Keeping Friends
Week 6: In/Out of School, In Home/Other homes
How is my class structured?
1) We will spend some time reflecting on how things are going. Set learning Goal for the...Students will verbalize why social skills are important. Students will gain knowledge to apply to everyday social situations, Students will be able to apply conversation starters in real life settings. Students will be able to practice listening skills while conversing with others. Students will be able to apply skills when making and keeping friends. Students will participate in manners both in school and at home.
Master's of Education in Elementary Education SEL Endorsed Early Childhood Educator Expert in material being taught. 17+ years in a school setting at the K/1 level. Experience in teaching in a remote, online setting
Homework Offered
"Field work" to practice social skill in everyday life- Will post reflection question for student to respond to(if age appropriate).0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
