It is intended for middle school students with disabilities who may need more wait time, use a communication device, or benefit from a smaller group. I am a former Special Education teacher with experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities. I enjoy seeing the connections students can make with the material and with each other.
Games are designed to strengthen math, reading, and language skills such as asking and answering questions. Students are given multiple ways to show what they know and are met where they are. The academic level is first-third grade.
Each month will have its own theme. The Bingo and Guess Who/Where boards will be posted weekly. You may print them in color or black/white.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
