Class is divided into two parts. The first part of the class is focused on learning social skills, anxiety management techniques, and methods to enhance emotional intelligence. We also work on understanding body language cues to better read the room. This part of the class is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to navigate social situations confidently and effectively. The second part of the class is dedicated to fun improv games where the students get to role-play real-life situations in a humorous manner! For instance, students may play the role of a fishmonger attempting to overcharge his customers, while their classmates use their newly acquired social skills to manage the situation. This interactive approach not only makes learning fun but also provides a practical application of the skills learned. In addition, we also watch clips from famous movies where characters have not acted appropriately. The students are then encouraged to suggest alternative reactions for the characters, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills and enhancing their understanding of social dynamics.
