Hello families, during this class, Soaring and Exploring with Mindfulness, students will learn about mindfulness and why it’s important to S.T.O.P. P. when feeling anxious or upset about something. S.T.O.P.P. stands for Stop, Take a breath, Observe the body, and Plan and Proceed with more awareness. Students will be able to identify 5 healthy coping mechanisms and practice deep breathing skills. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the importance of drawing and journaling about their feelings. *This class is not therapeutic, instead it provides tools to help others cope in positive ways.

Objective 1: Students will learn about the importance of emotions
