🎨 Learn to paint a gorgeous snowy landscape inspired by the artist Lawren Harris. No experience necessary! Students will work with acrylic on canvas (or paper) and layer onto their paintings each day of the camp. They will learn how to paint snow, trees, shadows, and more! They will also learn some fun facts about the artist Lawren Harris who is part of the famous Group of Seven artists from Canada. Ms. Emily will guide students step-by-step throughout the class and will show a close-up view of her hands while she demonstrates each step. Students will be encouraged to ask questions and share their artwork with the other artists in the class. It will be a warm and inclusive environment that will be a good mix of learning and fun! Here is what students will work on each day: Day 1: Sketch and paint the background. Day 2: Learn to paint trees, snow, and shadows. Hope to see you there!

Supply List
Supply List: acrylic paint (a variety of colours including LOTS of white), mixing palette, canvas or canvas board/paper (approximately 9” x 12”), a medium-sized paintbrush and a small detail brush, water jar, tissues/rag/paper towel, pencil, eraser, and scrap paper.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
