Description

Class Experience

By the end of the 8 weeks, each student should be able to:

- Play the melody of a simple song using fret numbers
- Read simple rhythms
- Play a major scale using the major scale pattern or fret numbers
- Play the chords of a popular song of their choice
Each student is expected to spend at least one hour of practice time outside of the weekly 45-minute session.

Class will move forward at the speed of the students, so it is imperative that each student spend time mastering the songs and topics assigned each week.
Students must have their own ukulele at home to participate in this class. It is also recommended that each student have a clip-on tuner and a pick. Please come to each class with your ukulele tuned and ready, as well as a pen and paper to take notes. There may be worksheets that need to be printed out at home for students to use during class and for homework.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
