This is an exciting beginning to read course. In this class we will work together on learning the foundations of reading. This class will be in either a one to one or a multiple student setting. Students will practice alphabet sounds, building on sight words/high frequency words, and increasing fluency through fun, small readers. In this class, we also use fun educational games and music to practice reading. I will also help with any homework questions students may have throughout the class. Students may also bring their favorite books to share. Week of March 6– Topic—Alphabet sounds Week of March 13–Topic—Introduction to Sight Words Week of March 20–Topic—High Frequency Word Puzzles Week of March 27–Topic—Early Readers

Students will improve reading skills through fun differentiated reading activities.
