Homework Assignment: Optional Poem Recitation For those students who wish to deepen their engagement with the course material and enhance their language skills, you have the option to participate in the "Optional Poem Recitation" homework assignment. This assignment is designed to provide you with an opportunity to practice and showcase your understanding of the classic Chinese poems we've been exploring in class. Assignment Details: Select a Poem: Choose one of the classic Chinese poems we've studied during the course that resonated with you the most or that you found particularly meaningful. Practice: Spend some time practicing the recitation of the chosen poem. Pay attention to pronunciation, rhythm, and expression to convey the poem's emotions effectively. Record Yourself: Using your smartphone or any recording device, record yourself reciting the poem. You can choose to record audio or video, depending on your comfort level. Reflection (Optional): In a brief written reflection (no more than a paragraph), share why you chose this specific poem and what it means to you. You can also mention any challenges or insights you encountered while practicing. Submission (Optional): If you would like to share your recitation with the class, you can submit your recording and written reflection. We'll have a dedicated session where those who wish to can present their recitations.
