Small Group Help for Calculus

In this course, I will be answering questions from students about their Calculus class, specifically going over any problems they are having with their homework.  With over 12 years teaching college calculus,  I can easily make up math problems similar to the ones they are struggling with in order to get more practice.  For instance, if a student has a question about using the quotient rule to find a derivative, I will help them with their problem, then I will present 2 or 3 more problems that require the quotient rule. That way, students will gain more confidence with a particular topic.  In this small group (3-6) students will get a lot of individual help.  Students will also learn from listening to other students' questions.  I also post videos or pdf's explaining some of the concepts in more detail.  We will utilize looking at graphs on Desmos or graphing calculators to understand the connection between functions and their derivatives.  I can explain how to integrate definite integrals by hand, as well as show students how to set up the correct integrals for different application problems.  The content will vary from week to week depending on what the students' needs are.  If students have access to a syllabus and can tell me what topics are coming up for them, I can also preteach those concepts.
