A pre and post assessment will be given. The pre assessment will be given before the class begins and the post assessment will be informally given on the final day of class. This will be used to evaluate student progress.Class Experience
US Grade 7 - 10
This is a tutoring class that is small group based. The structure of this class will depend on the needs of the students. A pre-test will be posted in the classroom upon enrollment. This will allow for instruction to be based on student needs. Each class will follow the following format: a general warm-up, an introduction of the day's topic, a time for questions, and one on one instruction as needed. Students will be given videos, notes, and homework after each class. The homework will be reviewed during the next class period in the time for the questions portion. Since this is a tutoring structure the class topics will be determined by the student's pre-test. Calculators will be allowed. Students will need to come to class with cameras on and in a quiet location to take full advantage of the time. The pace will be slow and student-led based on the needs shown in the pre test. Students need to be comfortable working with fractions, decimals, and percents before taking this class. The skills will be related to equations involving variables, and graphing equations.
