character traits, character analysis, finding facts from the text, making predictions, text to self connections, analyzing problems & finding solutions and giving their opinion. Students will be given opportunity to share their favorite character and/or part of the story. This class is designed to be fun, lively and move through the storyline touching at a basic level on story elements. Handouts allow parents to reinforce material and concepts after class or even before if this helps prepare your student for class discussion.

The parent/student is provided with after-class activities they can do own their own to further their understanding and practice such as; vocabulary word search, vocabulary activities and have fun designing a valentine activity.
